I'm reviewing both sides/areas of this park. Firstly the older of the 2 playgrounds is in disrepair and utter neglect. There is trash throughout, rusty swing chains, frayed rope and exposed wire. And the newer on the 2 playgrounds is even worse. The equipment is new and faultless, however the site is grossly unfinished. There is construction equipment near the playground only guarded by caution tape, no garbage cans whatsoever, dug up entry roads with PVC pipes protruding out. This park is an embarrassment to the city, and is an absolute failure of infrastructure planning and funding. People in East Indy deserve better.

New section of Grassy Creek park is a great playground. There are shelters with picnic tables and grills, unique play equipment, bathrooms, trails, and an indoor area with activities. You can walk to the other side of the park to get to the older playground. There’s also a splash pad at the other side.

Such a nice quiet park in the middle of east 30th street!!! There's a splash pad, walking trails, playground, tennis court, basketball field and so much running space the kids will definitely be tired after spending the day here. There is a shelter out here too...come visit this cute little big lark

First time back at this park since high school 2008 for reference and alot hasn’t changed this use to be German church park I brought my daughter up here for a play date we don’t live on this side of town but, I was prepared for the worse anyhow but I was very optimistic because my daughter really wanted to hang out with her best friend at the splash pad, well it was going well for 30 mins but it was some little boys chasing my daughter around she Already told them to leave her alone she end of falling cutting her leg, come to find out the little boys were cussing at my daughter we found the mother and the mom took no accountability for her child not herself I said lesson learn we won’t be going back it’s a nice park they have a nice trail I ran it it’s the people that’s at the park unfortunately it’s this new generation of mothers that has no discipline of their children, I’m talking about a little boy saying the B word at the age of no older than 10 never seen anything like it before please beware. We walk away from that situation but I’m afraid someone else wouldn’t be so mature like we did. Take your own...

This could be a fantastic location but it is not secure it is not clean There is trash flung and left on every square foot of this park. The locals warned me never to come here at night and leave before evening. People smoke substances in the parking lot and leave their food from BBQ. The nature walk is great bit its completely neglected and if you walk far enough you end up in yet another..dumpster mess with trash and bottles and clothes left EVERYWHERE...this exact area is by a lake covered in huge beautiful flowers but it's right next to a ghetto ..which also looks like it's completely covered...
