I came here with my girlfriend on a chilly October night in hopes to experience some bone-chilling moments. Let’s say I got a few surprises here and there.
They do have free parking here to start you off on a good note. I was able to buy the General Admission Combo Pass for each of us at the ticket booth. It was $68.00 for both of them together and allowed us entry into each of their six attractions.
They had bonfires throughout the area to keep you warm. It was a smart idea and we got to enjoy some of them.
They had some characters that roamed around the midway to create a scare zone. It wasn’t too interactive in my opinion.
We started with Hanna Haunted Hayride for our first adventure. They boarded around 20 people on the ride, but there was still space to breathe comfortably. It was filled with animatronics and even scare actors throughout the ride. I’d still go to say that it’s a great family experience. If I were you, I’d make this your first stop!
Our next stop was Acres Manor Haunted Mansion. The actors in this attraction definitely interacted with us. They stayed persistent and worked together profusely to accompany us on our walk. I was impressed with what they could do with a low amount of actors in this one.
Our third stop was Cannibal Chaos. I had high hopes for this, but it did disappoint me, as I seen real potential inside here. The actors didn’t seem to be too into it in this attraction.
Stop number four was Freakshow. The entry was awesome and so were the visuals, but the acting wasn’t too believable. One of the clowns kept laughing at us. I don’t think I told her a joke, but oh well.
Our fifth, and my favorite attraction, was Descension. It was pretty difficult to presume what this attraction had in store judging by the front. It was probably their darkest attraction. I loved the characters in here. This one is a must!
Our last attraction was The Horror Fields. I figured it would be a fast walk, but there was actually a sort of puzzle to get out. There were characters throughout this one and even some chainsaw action!
We went heavy at the Concessions stand that they had. We ordered a Hot Dog, a Corn Dog, a Cheeseburger, Nachos, a Walking Taco, a 7-Inch Pizza (Cheese), Breadsticks, and two Funnel Cakes. The Hot Dog had solid, tasty quality. The Corn Dog wasn’t too good. The Cheeseburger was really soft, but still decent. The Nachos weren’t too good, as they tasted cheaply prepared and lacked cheese. The Walking Taco was surprisingly really good. The Pizza was cheaply made and the cheese stuck to the foil, unfortunately. It wasn’t that good. The Breadsticks were really good, especially dipped in the cheese that was at the bottom of the tray. The Funnel Cakes were okay at best. They needed more powder.
The grounds of the park were really clean. I was impressed by that. Everything was spread out appropriately in my eyes. The restrooms they had consisted of outhouses. They were pretty clean from the two experiences I had with them.
Overall, this place gave me a good amount of thrills for the price. I would deem it worthy if you live fairly close. I still had a good time.

Read moreI had 2 adults and 5 children tonight with my party, we had fast passes and we showed up 30 mins before start time to get a head start. I do not have but one complaint with my visit. Everything was amazing. my kids had a great time. We did the fast passes with one entrance to each of the 5 main attractions. The best of the walk-through attractions was the acres manor! This was the most fun of the walk-through houses. My kids were screaming and laughing through this! My kids wanted to save the hayride and the horror field for last so that it would be darker and scarier for them. We did everything else but saved these 2 events for last. The kids were very excited to see other kids being chased out of the maze by a man with the chain saw and were scared and excited for this part of the maze especially. This is my only complaint and advice for future parents coming here. Check with the end of the maze before waiting in line make sure the chain saw has gas. We walked all around the maze and the kids were getting excited and scared the closer we got to the man with the chain saw. As we approached the last turn we could hear him trying to start the chainsaw. The chain saw was out of gas. One of my kids was happy because he was scared but the other children wanted to be chased out and were looking forward to it. Bless the man's heart in the maze he tried his heart out to get the chain saw to start but could not. I asked the ticket booth if my kids could go back through, and of course fast passes only give one walk through. My kids were a little sad and disappointed with being told no. I paid over 450 bucks for my party. Everything else was great my kids ranged from 11-16 years old. The hayride was my favorite!!!! Check THE GAS IN THE CHAINSAW BEFORE ENTERING THE LINE PARENTS!!!!!! I HATED SEEING MY KIDS DISAPPOINTED =( already paying 450 I did not purchase a second ticket for my 5 children!~ if it were not for this one attraction I would of gave 5 stars! my recommendations is to have a second chainsaw nearby or a gas tank? also a few more portable potties would be nice. There are 3 and by 9:30 its very hard to go to pee...
Read moreThis place was a fun time! Took my girlfriend and our 4 teens here last weekend and we did the "haunted hayride". Last year we did the headless horseman at Conner Prairie and nobody was impressed. This year they loved it!
A couple of tips that I think made a difference. I purchased tickets online before hand. We arrived early (they opened at 7pm which is when we showed up). There were lines for all "scare" attractions except the "CarnEvil" and the corn maze (which was declared muddy but still open). The hayride also had no apparent line, so we waited in the central area. Several bonfires were setup to keep us warm.
One thing I thought was cool, they have several actors periodically roam around in costume. Our first encounter was a guy with a chainsaw. Our kids freaked and huddled around us in "fear". I just chuckled and the guy moved on, but he hovered around the kids to get a few screams and then moved on. We then headed for the hayride around 7:15 (after it started getting dark) and got in line which was about 4 rows deep inside by that time.
This is like any amusement park these days where they offer you a "fast pass" option. If you get it, you get priority. So from the time we got in line to the time we ended up getting on the ride was about an hour. This was the only thing we were there to do, but loads of people were complaining about the "fast pass line". Honestly I think they handled it well. Normally if the fast line started filling up they'd let an entire cart of that side through - but otherwise they'd take about 3/4 from the fast line and then 1/4 from the normal wait, then the fast line would die down and normal line would continue to load. Another actor was working around the crowd which made waiting fun.
The actors all do a great job. If someone is really freaking out, they back off. If someone is screaming and having fun, they ham it up.. if you laugh and ask for a selfie, they do that for you too.
When we were done, the hayride line was well out into the common area.
I can't speak to the haunted house style attractions as my kids were all too spooked to...
