Visited for the first time today and loved it. There are plenty of walking/running paths, workout stations, and such a great variety of activities available such as basketball courts, horseshoes, fields, multiple playgrounds, and in the summer it looks like there can be access to a pool and zip line.

As a professional in the field of autism, I really appreciated the main playground because it has a large PECs (picture communication) board (with pictures of playground activities) as well as pictures of the signs for A-Z. This small board shows me that someone involved in the creation of the park cares about and is inclusive of people with disabilities, by giving kids who may have trouble communicating another means of communication to use while they are in a public space.

I will be returning to this park again and would...

It is a perfect location to host events due to shelters provided and playgrounds that the kids will love. It’s is also a perfect place for playing sports or to practice. They have 2 basketball courts,a volleyball court,4 baseball fields,6 soccer fields. They also have a pool with 3 slides, a diving board,12 ft deep pool. They also have a splash pad for the little ones if they can’t swim yet. They have a zip line. They also have a daily pack camp for children from 1st-6th grade. If you are also a soccer fan or your kids like soccer try CARP. It’s is a travel soccer league. They also have a rec league for beginners called komets. They also have trails in the woods, a creek and a paved trail that raps the whole park. There is a ton of stuff to do here and it would be a regret to come and try...

We live in Terre Haute. It was super nice to visit a friend and get out to a new park for us. Never being at this park and with the only photos provided we didn't think this would differ much from other parks we have been to. Boy were we wrong this park was freaking huge. We just walked around on the paved paths and some wooded paths and the nature here is beautiful. We walked around for about a hour and a half and we had to get going. To top it off we didn't even get to walk ever path we came across. This place is definitely on our...

Really large outdoor park and playground. We were traveling through the area and needed a place to stop to let the kids play and stretch their legs. This park and playground was the perfect stop. The playground equipment was huge and spread out. It had things for all ages. The bathroom was a typical county park bathroom but served it’s purpose.

We were here to watch the fireworks! They had food trucks, a live band and EVERYONE was having a great time. Kids, babies, old people, young folks, middle aged, all kinds of people!Everybody is well behaved, playing ball, flying a kite, having picnics, chatting, etc... It's a great family type celebration of our FREEDOM!

We love walking the trails at Pioneer park! Our children are able to safely ride bikes, push cars and scooters with no fear of oncoming traffic *in certain areas* the play areas are just as fun! Lots of space for the kids to run around and explore! Nice covered bridge with lots to see! The play areas are fun for all ages!
