I visited not to long ago to recollect on my time as a volunteer there and visitor. There is a lack of professionalism with this museum that just can not be ignored. Mainly the second floor exhibits were set up so strangely and what looked like a program had taken place there had not been removed so my girlfriend and I were not able to see the entire collection. The lighting on the ground floor is horrible and the fonts that were used made things difficult to read. Looks like nothing has been updated in years. For being a National Hall of Fame I am very disappointed. I have a bachelors and masters in history and have to say this is not a place to recommend unless they get someone who knows what they are doing there. Read moreWe had relatives fly in from Colorado to visit with grandkids…checked site regularly to make sure they would be OPEN….we drove several hours to meet up with them !!! Waited and waited building was locked !! Phone number on door went to a google something number (can’t answer phone now) went to gas station next door..no clue why they were locked up !! Finally a Justin answered the phone call states he is out of town and they closed the building due to some type of emergency. Would of been nice to put on the web to inform the public…soooo...
