ABET | All Beaches Experimental Theatre — Attraction in Jacksonville Beach

My daughter and I were so happy to be able to attend the Snoopy! Musical theatre performance Saturday night. Not only was Lee the Creative Managing Director accommodating for my little girl, but the entire cast and crew were so welcoming to my daughter for her first theatre show ever. Having grown up in theatre myself beginning with musical theatre I was hoping she would have a great experience and enjoy it. The singing was clear and powerful, I had a couple parts with Peppermint Patty and Snoopy that literally gave me goosebumps of such joy. The cast together songs were well harmonized and the cast appeared happy to be there together. Woodstock definitely showed energy and brought lightness to the production as well. Everyone looked passionate and caring about their trade. I couldn't believe how fresh the script was and relevant to me as well, even though it was written 40+ years ago. I enjoyed that the show kept true to its roots and didn't go political or pander to certain audiences either way. A few pithy tongue in cheeks were enough to bring funny and poignant modern humor to the show, but I loved that the script was funny and kept a great pace with alliteration and at times punchy staccato beats. It was a great script. Side note, it was so nice to see another Army veteran with a passion for performamce. Well worth the money....

A Shakespeare play performed by a dedicated and energetic crew. Upon arriving I wasn’t sure what to expect when presented with a small stage. I was impressed by the magnitude of lines memorized. I attended this theater to see a magic show. Even though it is a small theater, it made the show more intimate and personal. The seat was well cushioned, enough for a two hour show. I did not check it out, but there is a restroom available as well. During the show I attended, there were sodas and bottled water...
