Carroll's Meat Shoppe — Attraction in Jacksonville

I’ve given them several chances and it’s not going to change. This is all Frozen meat that comes from Colorado and get thawed out. All the meat comes Bone-in since they charge you by the pound. You end up buying bone. I asked to get beef bone-out and they say they’ll just charge me extra. The meat is cut paper thin and the quality is towards the back of the line since it’s what other purchases passed over and didn’t want fresh, it gets frozen and sent out from a warehouse to whoever will still buy it. It’s not a butcher shop. They simply though out meat and cut it really thin and with the all the bones and fat. I’ve never found a decent price or quality cut of beef. I’d love to support a locally owned business, but publix has better quality, price, variety and service. When I asked to have the bone removed recently and they said they just charge me more….ha. No. Your going to tell me that??? You’ll actually never charge me again. My neighbor warned me about this place when I moved into the neighborhood and he says he’s never been back in 25 years. I don’t think I’ll ever go there again. It’s just too much non sense. I can literally order frozen beef to my doorstep for better...

I moved here to jacksonville florida 3 years ago and I started to come into this meat market. I happen to find it and I come here and get my bacon cut fresh. I get my beef liver. The small chicken wings like I love and me is fresh. The people's are so inviting and welcoming to the store, and they have a pleasant personality and I just love getting my meats and my frozen vegetables from here and my fresh vegetables is an amazing butcher shop. If you don't know where to go here in Duvall county, I suggest myself from experience. This is an amazing place. You have to give it a try. Thank you all for your service that you render to us. Hey what a wonderful delightful place this is! I come to this side of town on business quite often and I've always driven right by it on Edgewood Avenue but the pork chop ad caught my eye and my banker said that he shops there and it's wonderful meet so in I went and was greeted by the most wonderful people they have the most gorgeous chicken And everything there was wonderful I got the chops I got field Peas I Got butter beans I got sausage I got hamburger and next week I'm coming back and get everything I didn't get today the cashier Carolyn as wonderful and while I was there the owner mr. Schumann came in what a delightful man he is it was all meant to be this is my new place to purchase almost everything! Can't wait...
