Walker County Lake — Attraction in Jasper

Was told 2 weeks ago that they didn't sell alabama fishing licsence there an that all we had to do was buy the one day permit an we could fish there with out the alabama fishing licsence so Sunday the day before memorial day me an a family member go there an we get the day fishing licsence .we're there about 2 hours .we head back to the car an get a ticket from the game warden for fishing with out licsence .an the guy who told us all we needed was the 9ne day permit .disappeared .the management should get a fine for selling them permits to fish there an lieying about j9t having to have a alabama fishing licsence there he should also get a fine .an if you look at the fishing rods an 9ther stuff he sells there .go to walkmart an get em cheaper ..got to captain Dee's if want you fish an if you wa t a enjoyable family outing stay away from walker county ty lake an them living...

Just from the Facebook posts alone, it looks like the new owners have done a great job of explaining everything going on at the lake, opening/closing times, events, prizes, what to do and not do. I'm proud to say we have a county lake that wants to be a great place for families to create lasting memories or just somewhere to come out and relax.
