Better experience than expected. The hours have been so limited at this place since COVID but we finally caught them open. Poor little Jennerette, the town used to be a happening place many years ago and there are some beautiful old homes dating from the 1830s but so many have fallen on tough times. So sad. I was even hesitant to enter but it was a full and educational experience. We have been fascinated by the sugar cane culture here and this filled in our education. We were fortunate to have a local historian on duty who took us room by room and explained the history which made it a different experience than it would have otherwise been.
