We went to Echo Valley Corn Maze this weekend and had such an amazing time with our 6 year old and family! There were so many fun things to do!! the hayride for a pumpkin, jump pad, zipline, little nibblet train, and the adorable animals at the petting area + the giant slide is SO fun.
We literally spent the entire day from open to close here. there's some nice fire pits. Everything felt super family-friendly and welcoming. lots of great food, too.
I use a wheelchair, and the owner (I believe he is the owner ) was so lovely to our family. he was willing to have them help carry my wheelchair up in the hayride and everything if needed - but my partner can actually carry me so we didn't have to do that.
Even though I deal with chronic illness and use a wheelchair, the staff and layout made it possible for me to still enjoy the whole experience (huge deal for me!). if you have a regular transport wheelchair, you'll have to have someone who's able to push and off road ya with it unless you want to just hang out at the porch- which is still lovely.
all of the staff is so nice. there were two men who were doing the hay rides & just sweet as could be to our family as well as others. I know ones name was Tim! didn't get the other one's name but he helped us up on the hayride, and would hold the pumpkins so people didn't have trouble climbing in the tractor.
My partner helped push me around, and I was honestly just blown away that I could do so much despite my usual limits. Big win for accessibility and kindness here. 🥹
The atmosphere was perfect for fall. cozy, fun, and full of laughter everywhere you turned. lots of photo op spots.
My daughter had the time of her life running around with the other kids. It was crowded, but everyone seemed happy and respectful. 🩷
Highly recommend Echo Valley Corn Maze if you’re looking for a wholesome, outdoorsy day with your family. We’ll definitely be back next year! this was not my first time, but it was my first time in 9 years since I had moved out of state and came back home + was my daughter's first time here. 🍂🎃
thank you to all who make it...
Read moreWe have been going to Echo Valley for several years now but this year we did not go back. They are expensive to and it is annoying that there are certain times you have to be there to get on the rides and wagon. You have a "ticket" that they punch and you can only ride everything once. When we were there last year it was crowded and we were not able to get on one of the rides so you have to wait another 30 mins - hour for the next one. We also waited around for the pumpkin cannon (that they are supposed to shoot at a certain time) but they never did it so we left. Very annoying. The only good thing was the price of admission included a pumpkin. This year we tried Fender Farm in Jonesborough and they have a lot more to do and you can ride the wagons, cow train, etc as many times as you like (it runs constantly and is a longer ride as well). It did not include a pumpkin but the admission cost was quite a bit lower so we bought pumpkins from the farm stand across the road and it evened...
Read moreI went with a group of 7 other girls and we had a blast - UNTIL the next morning came around and we were all covered in bug bites and rashes. One of us has gone to the doctor because it is so severe.
I give it a 2/5 because we really did have fun, but the corn maze was pathetic and it was covered in briars and full of mosquitoes. It looked like no one had gone in there for weeks as it was so overgrown we couldn't go down certain paths because of the sharp spiky plants blocking the way. The pumpkin cannon was neat and we loved the slides and petting zoo. We got balloon animals and had a fun time zip-lining. The hayride was so short though!!! We all thought it would be longer, but its literally just a ride across the road. We also weren't told that there are larger carveable pumpkins towards the bottom of the field, so we all got stuck with tiny pie pumpkins. Overall, I wish we had not wasted our time with the corn maze as its still causing us problems...
