We went on Sunday, the last day of the fair. We visited the animals first which were all in mostly clean environments. They had some animals out for children and adults to pet and get a closer look. Plenty of porta potties around and from what I could tell were very clean and acceptable for a moveable bathroom. There were plenty of food trucks, and vendors to buy either clothes, toys, knickknacks, along with many other varieties of memorabilia. There were a few shows featuring trucks, cars even some pig races. Lastly the rides we visited before we left. There were no signs stating the ticket amounts for each ride. Tickets were a dollar a piece and rides started out at 4 to 6 tickets per person each ride. The negative experience was some of the carnival personal attendants covered the original ticket numbers and were stating a different amount when I myself and the group behind us asked "how many tickets"... I found this out while waiting at the end of a slide ride for my daughter. The man charged me 4 tickets but I moved the poorly taped paper on the back side of the ride, which stated only 3 tickets. Out of our entire first experience at this fair,...
Read moreCame for the car show and swapmeet. It was my 1st time. The grounds were a little disorganized. I couldn't tell if I missed half the car show portion because there were just random classic cars everywhere with no rows or specific line ups. It was just really all over the place. The swap meet portion was overwhelming, I was laughing at all the guys pulling, pushing homemade welded carts and wagons...I soon understood why all the fuss. I had to make 3 trips back to the car. So much to see. The process of having to drive in to pick-up large parts was a little weird. The gatekeeper asking for money to hold and get refunded back on the way out was odd. There should be a better system than "write your name on a $20 bill and I'll give it back to you later". All in all it was an interesting experience...I am sure the incoming bad weather and snow did not help the event that weekend, but made for better...
Read moreMy husband and I came to this fair to see Jon Pardi. We bought the tickets in February 2020. It was an absolute disaster, I have never seen anything like it. THOUSANDS of people waited in line to get in for hours and hours, and it was pure chaos. For every person who actually waited in line to get in was another person who had a ticket but decided not to even bother with this dumpster fire. We left around 9:30 pm to start our two hour drive home. Leaving the fair grounds we were astonished to see another line to get in that wrapped through the midway past another tent with a band playing. The organizers are very lucky that these drunk, agrivated people didn't riot because people were very upset. As we drove away there was no sign of the concert starting. Very disappointed with the lack of organization and over-selling of tickets. The right thing to do is to refund those who did not get what...
