UI used this Piggly Wiggly for renting a U-Haul removing truck. I’ve used U-Haul my entire life w no real issues that couldn’t be handled and a remedy offered if there was a problem until using U-Haul through this vendor. First off the website for I-Haul was not functioning properly, and so it took 12 tries before it accepted my reservation and information pertaining to a one way move out of city. I never received a verification email stating my reservation which is why I called the morning of my reservation to verify in which it was but no details offered. U-Haul said my “email” was incorrect, again out of my control because website not populating consumer information properly, so no verification sent for reservation. Unknown to be the website not functioning properly caused my reservations to be in-accurate, and I was unaware of that. When picking up the truck the employee was busy w customers in the grocery store and seemed distracted. I waited for about 10 minutes, then I signed the reservation contract I had set online. The details were not discussed upon pick up of the truck when the contract was offered. She said sign and I showed by drivers license and that was it. She now claims she did her due diligence as a representative of U-Haul and explained the details of an in city move, but she DID NOT. Rented the truck for mileage to Sun Prairie, WI. Instead of a $79 bill I was charged $260. When dropping off truck at the local vendor in Sun Prairie there was no paperwork and I was told dropping it there is no problem. Just as t looked up U-Haul online to find a local drop off for U-Haul truck it said all locations closed. I waited a few minutes and tried website again and it then populated all the same locations as open and available. After contacting U-Haul and U-Haull contacting Piggly Wiggly of Jefferson they deemed the problematic website as my fault as well as the lack of details provided upon pick up. The clerk point blank lied baring no responsibility saying she explained the details. I would caution using this vendor for U-Haul as their integrity and attention to detail is sacrificed because the grocery store takes precedence to the side business as a U-Haul vendor. I’m well aware of how U-Haul works as I mentioned I’ve used many many times w issues like this and usually resolved. During times like this when people are already dealing w financial struggles and health issues due to COVID it disgusts me that there was no action taken for the vendors lack of professionalism...
Read moreI called today to see the availability for trailers for U-Haul. Because this place is a U-Haul provider. The lady that answered the phone that said she was the person I needed to talk to needs better customer service. I started speaking to her about Uhaul availability and she said holy cow I just got busy a bunch of people just walked up I'm going to have to transfer you to somebody else. Is what she told me it's funny to know that when you call up and essentially you are at the first of the line and then you are told that you're talking to the person that you need to talk to. That this place will Pawn you off because customers walking up take priority of the customer that's on the phone. Not only was I transferred I was put on hold to be transferred to someone in the meat department and then put on hold again. I called back just to be put on hold again safe to say I will never shop here or call for a U-Haul rental ever again. they also refer you to the website will guess what when you go on U-Hauls website their inventory is not updated because it shows at Lake Mills has the trailer I want but calling Lake Mills they do not have one hence this is why people call U Haul to make sure of correct real-time availability you guys need to do better at customer service. I needed this trailer to get this furniture to a...
Read moreI came in tonight for some last minute holiday items and left wishing I went to Walmart instead. There were two lanes open. One lane had multiple people standing in it with a male cashier tending to them. The other lane was totally empty. The light was on, employee standing there, so I asked “Sherri” if she was open. “I’ll be there in a minute” in the rudest possible way. You’re a cashier. You have one job in which you failed at miserably. The entire time she was ringing us up Sherri was rude. She was over filling the bags to the point I couldn’t carry them without them breaking and piling them on top of each other. Literally stacking all my items on top of each other. She didn’t smile, didn’t engage us, had the biggest attitude, and clearly didn’t want to be doing her job. And honestly, she shouldn’t be, because she’s not good at it.
You work in customer service-If you can’t be nice, you should probably find a new profession. Sherri needs a new profession. After looking through their reviews Sherri has had quite the attitude problem for quite some time. Shocker as to why the store had 5 people in it. Between their terrible customer service, dirty store, broken coolers, and lack of quality food, there’s no reason to...
