If there's something beachy you want to do, Clam Creek picnic area will probably suit you very well. From fishing off a pier to picnicking, playing in the sand or swimming on a pristine beach off the St Simons Sound, there's plenty to do. In September 2020 you can also currently see the shipwreck of the MV Golden Ray from the beach here, which was carrying 4,000 vehicles before it capsized. Personally I'd like to see more amenities, but it's a quiet, naturally beautiful area.

Very nice area of Jekyll Island. There are picnic tables, small pavilion, restrooms, bait and supply store, beautiful beach, huge fishing pier, and wonderful views.

Beautiful scenery with the Spanish moss on trees around the picnic area and gorgeous sunsets!

There are several things to do down the road to the Clam Creek picnic area. Including fishing, horse back riding, and nature watching.

There are several picnic tables and a restroom. But the Jekyll Pier is probably the biggest destination. Here many fishermen gather. The pier also offers a view of St. Simon's and the ships that travel the waters to Brunswick Port. Dolphins can often be seen.

You can walk along the beach or down a path through a salt water marsh. Shore birds, hawks and herons are common.

The road is narrow and the speed limit low. So walkers and bikers can...

Fishing, Swimming, Horseback Riding, Walking on the Beach... This place has it all. With plenty of parking and plenty of picnic tables, this place makes a wonderful place to have a family outing. The area includes a huge fishing pier and quaint baitshop. Just a little walk from there, over a wooden bridge, ya can walk and swim along the beaches of the North end...
