There are several things to do down the road to the Clam Creek picnic area. Including fishing, horse back riding, and nature watching.
There are several picnic tables and a restroom. But the Jekyll Pier is probably the biggest destination. Here many fishermen gather. The pier also offers a view of St. Simon's and the ships that travel the waters to Brunswick Port. Dolphins can often be seen.
You can walk along the beach or down a path through a salt water marsh. Shore birds, hawks and herons are common.
