The play I saw was excellent. However, I have to say I was annoyed with the bus parking. At my particular matinee, there were probably 5 busses. One bus was parked right in the front, fully blocking probably 6 parking spots. The people were already off the bus and inside the venue, yet the bus was still parked right up front. It was pouring down rain and the parking lot was absolute mud. I had to park several rows back and trudge through the rain and mud to get to the box office, only for the lady working to tell me "there's nothing we can do about where the busses park." Which is complete BS. They can put up signs designating where busses can park. But the show was fantastic. Booooo...
Read moreMy first impression of the Mountain Playhouse was of the building itself. This was a gristmill way back when and the ambiance of it all is almost overwhelming. Walking into the cozy theater is a lovely stroll into the past.
We saw "Million Dollar Quartet". Any expectations we might have had were exceeded. The cast was so talented, the show itself (based on truth) was entertaining, and the acoustics of the theatre put the icing on top of a lucious cake.
I would strongly recommend that anyone interested in the theatre arts take any opportunity to visit the Mountain Playhouse. I am certain you will...
