You’ll travel down a dirt road for couple minutes until you reach the vineyards. Bring snacks with you to enjoy as there’s no food sold on site. Jim was very knowledgeable and provided an educational wine sampling. After the wine sampling, I purchased a bottle of Cayuga, a white wine that was delicious. The vineyard is very natural and peaceful. It’s a personal feeling experience as we all had the pleasure of meeting Ian who makes the wine. Would definitely go back with a picnic basket. Also, summer hours on the weekends they’re opened until 8:00pm. Call to verify just in case.

Really good people and really good wine. Me and three others did a wine tasting that was only $12 each for 7 samples. I mainly drink red wine but I loved most of their whites too, including the Chardonnay in Bianco d’Amelia. The girl serving us was incredibly nice and very intelligent. She’s only been there a month and retained so much information about the wines. The owner Jim is 86 years old and is hilarious. He was also outside tidying up things. You get a warm, family feeling at this vineyard and a little wine makes it even better.

GREAT EXPERIENCE! Please, ignore the whinny "lengthy gravel road" comments. It is a path of less than 1min, and I crossed it easily in my Toyota Camry. A family-owned business with extremely kind people and a lovely vineyard to sit under the shade and enjoy the weather for hours with some chilled wine. Reasonably priced, very clean bathroom and installations in general. All in all, a great experience!

We recently had the pleasure of visiting Verde Vineyards in Johnston, RI, and we can't say enough good things about this gem! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel right at home. A special shoutout to Jim, the owner, whose passion for wine and winemaking truly shines through. He shared fascinating stories about the vineyard and the background of each wine during our tasting, making the experience not just enjoyable but also educational. We even got to review some Latin and bonded over the ancient language. Jim is such a fun person to talk to, and his enthusiasm is contagious! We also had the pleasure of meeting Ian and Anthony (and Katie the dog!), who were equally friendly and welcoming.

After our tasting indoors, we were able to relax outside with two bottles of their great wine and some snacks we brought with us. The wines are exceptional, especially the reds—they're definitely a must-try! We can't wait to return for more. If you're looking for a delightful wine experience with a personal touch, Verde Vineyards is the...

The long gravel road seemed a bit daunting but it was no reflection of the actual winery. The wine tasting room is small but quaint with a cozy feel and nice woodland views. Too cold to sit outside but the grounds seemed appealing for our future visits. The wine was excellent. They offered 4 whites and 2 reds to try. All were genuinely good. The wine is not the odd fruity varieties you sometimes encounter at local wineries but is wine that you would actually purchase. The owner was pouring. He does enjoy talking and will share lots of great wine facts. We had a really nice time...
