We recently had the pleasure of visiting Verde Vineyards in Johnston, RI, and we can't say enough good things about this gem! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel right at home. A special shoutout to Jim, the owner, whose passion for wine and winemaking truly shines through. He shared fascinating stories about the vineyard and the background of each wine during our tasting, making the experience not just enjoyable but also educational. We even got to review some Latin and bonded over the ancient language. Jim is such a fun person to talk to, and his enthusiasm is contagious! We also had the pleasure of meeting Ian and Anthony (and Katie the dog!), who were equally friendly and welcoming.
After our tasting indoors, we were able to relax outside with two bottles of their great wine and some snacks we brought with us. If you're looking for a delightful wine experience with a personal touch, Verde Vineyards is the...

He does enjoy talking and will share lots of great wine facts. We had a really nice time...

Jim was very knowledgeable and provided an educational wine sampling. After the wine sampling, I purchased a bottle of Cayuga, a white wine that was delicious. The vineyard is very natural and peaceful. It’s a personal feeling experience as we all had the pleasure of meeting Ian who makes the wine. Would definitely go back with a picnic basket. Also, summer hours on the weekends they’re opened until 8:00pm. Call to verify...
