The ice cream is great, and the customer service even better! They appear to care a lot about the customer which some may not consider relevant but it is very much so! I mean I have been to many ice cream places over my lifetime and some can be great ice cream but if there is an attitude or a side of impatience that will outweigh my desire for the ice cream or things in general! So it's nice that you have both features amongst all employees I have encountered there on several occasions. Another thing I find rather nice and actually interesting is that they will talk to you for awhile and provide equal and ample experience for the individual behind you. Now that may sound irrelevent but it ties into the fact of qualities these individuals offer and the fact they are welcoming. How many places in today's world do you honestly see peope that are accepting of another person talking while they are waiting? That is the hospitality side because I waited for all little bit as they were talking to a customer and usually I can be impatient sometimes that fact they provided the same behavior and welcoming traits to me was very appreciated! I saw a lot of other people accepting of the wait and tell me honestly where you find that today? People are pretty impatient in society today and that fact such behavior does not occur here makes it all the more welcoming! I would highly recommend it and they even have seasonal choices that...
Read moreUPDATE: I stop by Moose Trackers nearly every time that I'm in the area. I live in West Warwick which is far by Rhode Island standards. Well, Moose Trackers instituted a loyalty program which, at first, I was excited about. I continually racked up points over months, only to discover that my points consistently expired before I could earn a kiddie cone. In other words, the loyalty program discriminately favors local patrons who have the convenience and opportunity to visit more often. Loyal patrons like me who live further away rack up points that inevitably expire on the cusp of redemption. WHY does Moose Trackers feel it's necessary to have my points expire?...points that I earned. It is a virtual slap in the face for my years of loyalty. I decided to forego Moose Trackers.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: OMG! Best ice-cream in the state. Ambrosia! An abundance of flavors and toppings. Plenty of cakes and pastries. Prices are competitive. Ambiance is comforting. Staff is both polite and professional--especially Gage. Gage treats each customer like royalty. Worth the trip. Stop depriving yourself and indulge, get some ice-cream from Moose Trackers. Taste just as good in the winter as it does in the summer. One of Rhode Island's...
Read moreCame to Moose Trackers last week with my fiancé. The employees were so friendly and welcoming and the interior of the place is amazing. Needless to say, the service and the homemade ice cream were fantastic and we will most definitely be back soon. However, I do have one concern about the dress code at the place. My fiancé and I went during the heat wave when it was almost 100° outside. One of the employees was emptying the trash outside when we were sitting out there eating our ice cream, and I asked her how she could possibly be wearing jeans in this weather. She proceeded to tell me that it’s simply a part of the dress code there, which I personally thought was absurd since they are running around and working all day in such hot conditions. Although our experience here was great, I do believe that a change to the dress code should be taken into consideration especially in the summertime when the bipolar New England weather...
