My husband and I rode bicycles throughout the bike trails. The park has an abundance of trees and wildlife. You can rent bikes, canoes or kayaks at the Jupiter Outdoor Center located within the park. The park offers approx. 15 miles of hiking and biking trails mostly canopied, 7 miles of equestrian trails and 5 miles of canoeing/kayaking trails. There're many tiki huts and grills throughout the park. Also, there are maps placed throughout the trails which you will need them to get bearing. (Without maps or GPS, you can get lost, seriously....) When visiting the park, keep the following in mind.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is a regular outting for my family and me. They have bicycle and walking trails, kayaking and picnic areas and restrooms at different locations within the park. Some of your restrooms are portable and some are in buildings.
Please note this a trash free park. There are no trash cans, but small plastic bags are hanging by picnic areas for your usage to take the trash with you.
There are bike, kayak and canoe rentals at affordable prices. It's a really nice place to take your family for picnics and outdoor exercise. Picnic pavalions are available with grills for your use.
Also, it's best to go early if you plan to cycle all the trails because of the heat; however, Reese Trail seems to offer more shade than the rest when cycling.
We've seen doe's and bucks, raccoons, turkeys, peacocks, even alligators and lots of squirrels...

The addition of the kayak and canoe rental center is phenomenal. The rates are fair is renting is hassle free. The river has so many winding paths and calmer bays to look for alligators, turtles, and rare birds. I spent 5 hours on the waterways and 6 hours hiking and still didnt see everything the park has to offer.
It's the perfect place for both tourists and locals to spend time in nature, picnic, fish, barbecue, or exercise. I'm so happy to have this park in...
