Blue River Parkway Trails - Lydia Ave Trail Head — Attraction in Kansas City

It all depends what you are looking for. If you are a hardcore mountain biker or if you want to clock yourself and see how fast you can go, you probably have better options. But if you like to investigate, some adventure or easier and faster trails, with very scenic views of the river and some adventure, this is very nice and you can be in top of pretty high bluffs over the river. The main trail is an old railroad track, so it is very easy and flat, but there are other side trails that are harder, can take you to actual railroad tracks or down to the river and there are several spots where you can cross to the other side. So you can make a loop using the trails at both sides of the river. When the river is not bringing too much water you can make the crossing riding the bike or have to carry it in a few spots. If you're new to mountain biking here you might consider downloading trail forks or MTB project to help you navigate. I find this place to be peaceful and a great place to go to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. I visit one of my favorite trees and listen to the water flow. The trails are nice and it really gives you the feeling you can only get when you're surrounded by nature.
