I'm not exaggerating when I say this is the nicest park I've ever visited. Maybe that's lack of experience on my part, but I really enjoyed my visits there. The trails are beautiful, extensive, and easy to get lost in. I could spend weeks exploring them all. But the more civilized areas are pretty well kept up for the most part, with the exception of a clogged toilet and one non-functional electrical outlet — nitpicking on my part. Seriously, exploring the trails is like a treasure hunt, and the Blue River itself is clean and teaming with life. I wish I could have spent more time...

First time playing here and played with a longtime, very frequent player of Minor Park. I was very, very impressed and made that comment countless times throughout the round to him. We played the back 9, which is a fun layout, the fairways and greens are in GREAT condition which made the experience even better. Only request is that other players reading this... C'mon, repair your ball marks. I'll definitely be playing here again and just by seeing a few of the holes on the front 9, I'm hoping to go that way on...

First time visit impression was good. I came for a birthday party. The park equipment was in excellent condition, the shelter was large and in fair condition. There were a few picnic tables that we're wobbly and a weird broken slab of concrete right in the middle of shelter. There wasn't close parking to the shelter. You had to park on the side of the road and walk up a pretty steep sidewalk to get to the shelter, it made it difficult for the handicap and elderly in our group. There appeared to be walking...

What a great community resource! I'm from out of town but spent a lovely morning here wandering by the river and birding along the main trail--and had a blast. The Red Bridge is a good destination, but walking on beyond it to the lake and its picnic table gave me the chance to see a hovering red-tailed hawk, then listen to a Baltimore oriole while having my snack. Plenty of parking; tennis and playing fields; large reservable shelter; bike trail; wild areas for wildlife ... check it out!

Wonderful hiking experience. Also has a children's playground, plenty of parking and a BBQ pavilion. Hiking the Blue River is great for the family. Also, many bikers on the trails as well as horses so you will need to share the trail! It's really wonderful to see all the activity.

Probably my favorite park in the city limits of Kansas City. The trails are vast and run into other parks along Blue River. It's serene, not often crowded unless it's a weekend or a summer evening and even then if you like off trail there is an abundance of space. I love this park.
