Longview Lake County Park — Attraction in Kansas City

Canoeing & kayaking with friends. Put in at Moose Creek Boat Ramp. Plenty of parking. The put in is gravel or rock (neither is kind to a canoe, but either is okay for a kayak). Attractions: There are a lot of birds in the cove sheltering that boat ramp and an eagle's nest in one of the trees jutting out of v the water. This is a nice man made lake. They have a marina where you can rent boats or get some bait. They have a wide variety of boats. There is two main boat ramps with docks. They have a good size Swimming area. You can find a lot of nice spots to go fishing on shore or in a boat. They have bicycle riding trails and walking trials. They have shelter houses with picknik tables...

Beautiful and nice area to get out and explore. My only complaint is that some people are rude by leaving their garbage and glass bottles behind when their are trash receptacles everywhere here. My husband and I pick up trash that's not ours almost everytime we visit. I'd give Longview Lake 5 stars if more visitors would clean up...
