I had the pleasure of visiting Longview Lake Swim Beach during the Labor Day Holiday. I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival to find that the place was not crowded, there was plenty of room to set up a beach blanket, and the water was enjoyable to swim in. It was nice to see other families around as well and I did not feel alienated due to my race (Black). The lifeguards could have been a little bit more polite- they certainly were not customer friendly (we were not greeted as we arrived and they only talked during the money transaction). She also yelled at people to hurry up and finish using the hose that is provided to clean off the sand from your body at the end of the day. She literally snatched and said we needed to wait until she finished cleaning all the bathrooms. Other than that rude worker who made it clear she didn't want to work there everything...
