The right most side of the beach is protected from large waves and is great for swimming. The middle area of the beach near the lifeguard tower has coral reefs so it is good for snorkeling - we saw a fair variety of fish and even a sea Turtle! The left side of the beach has taller waves, but there is one spot where you can stand on dunes and body or boogieboard really well.
Visibility in the water can be a bit lower when the water is rougher out at sea, but it was still easy to navigate under water. It's not a busy beach really either so although the shoreline can be skinny in places, there's plenty of room to put your stuff.
Definitely the beach we had the most fun on and we came back even when staying on other parts...
