After purchasing out timeshare, we discovered this "hole" for a better word at the end of our street back in 1999...
At the time, we were wondering why all the tour buses were driving up the street and had to see for ourselves! I thought, "cool we have a tourist attraction just up the street from our place, how cool is that!"..... Aaaaaah, right. I saw a hole in the ground with water coming out! It reminded me of an outhouse I used during a camping trip.
"I'm sorry but a hole blowing water out doesn't really impress me...." You can take a million pictures of it, front, back, sideways, upside down, Blah, Blah, Blah....
I also took photos of this "hole with water shooting out" but why post it? What do you want me to say, "I took my picture next to this, a hole..!?"
Others have posted theirs and I can't see the difference in my photos and theirs... "Hmmmm, let me see if mine looks the same.."
I also can't see this in a postcard....? The recipient of the card might be saying, "Oh it looks like a water main break underground" as depicted in one of the photos. :-0

Read moreWe loved it here. The drawbacks are very little parking space and a huge flea market on the way to the Spouting Horn. There are restrooms but they are the bare minimum. No soap, lots of bugs around. Wear sunscreen and extra bug spray if you plan to video or take photos of spouting horn for a while. Most people congregate in the square. You can see a great view outside of it on the right or left sides. Also, the surf is beautiful to watch to the right of Spouting Horn. Especially during higher tides. Do not pass the signs which say do not pass this point for your safety. People have been swept down and severely injured and died when approaching the surf. You can get good deals from the Flea Market sellers.
To get a good view of Poipu Beach go to The Beach House Restaurant earlier in the day. Or during sunset. During Sunset it is...
Read moreDefinitely worth a visit! There's a ton of parking right off the road, and there's no to many people so it's easy to get an up-close shot. It "spots" every 15-30 seconds, ranging from a small gurgle to an impressive 20-30 foot high blast. It also makes an interesting noise to accompany the water, which adds to it's effect. There's also a few gift stalls ~100 feet away which sell small souvenirs and other small items. In addition to watching the spouting horn, you can also take a seat at one of the park benches and just watch the ocean. Overall a great spot where you can easily spend 20-30 minutes getting some...
