Terrible experience – denied entry, no refund, poor treatment of international guests

We were a large family visiting from Israel with only one week to enjoy Texas. I purchased $273.31 worth of tickets for our whole family to visit Texas Zoofari Park on August 1, 2025.

On the day of our visit, my wife and I fell ill, but our family—split into two cars—still made the effort to drive over an hour to the park. Despite all the tickets being booked under my name

The first group was allowed in without question.

The second group, including myself, was denied entry by the manager, simply because I wasn’t at the entrance when the others arrived.

When we explained that we were all part of the same family and had already been partially admitted, the staff was completely unhelpful, refused to accommodate us, and denied our request for a refund—even though no one ended up enjoying the visit. We all left disappointed, especially our young children who had been excited all week for this trip.

We tried to resolve this politely on-site, but were treated with inflexibility and indifference. This experience was completely unprofessional and unfair, especially to international tourists who made an effort to support your park.

Avoid this place if you value fair treatment, basic customer service, and consistency. We will be filing a formal complaint and requesting a refund through...

Texas Zoofari Park, located in Kaufman, Texas, offers visitors a drive-through safari experience where they can observe and interact with a diverse array of animals from the comfort of their vehicles. Spanning approximately six miles, the safari route allows guests to encounter species such as rhinos, bison, zebras, camels, and various antelope. Additionally, the park features a Safari Village Walk-Thru, providing opportunities to feed giraffes, Goats and explore an aviary filled with budgies. They have wagon ride as well for which we need to pay extra $10 per person, in which they will be riding in the wagon which might have 20-25 people sitting together. Park has three section middle, north, back safari. It also has Gift shops for which we can buy the stuff for your wonderful memories. Restrooms were clean. Overall, Texas Zoofari Park offers a distinctive safari experience near Dallas, allowing for close encounters with a...

A friend took her family and she highly recommended it for us to take our 8 yr old daughter. We absolutely loved it!

We had so much fun driving through, feeding the animals, petting some of them and took so many photos. All 3 of us had so much fun. We now have a place to take guests when they're in town visiting.

It warms my heart to know there's a place like this that takes care and protects animals that are nearly extinct. The price we paid for a full day of fun was all worth it and going to a great cause.

We purchased 4 buckets of food, which was sufficient for the whole 2 hr drive. I recommend using the restroom right by the entrance before starting the drive. There are also restrooms at the gift shop and can reenter the park as needed.

Be prepared for the animals to dirty...

I am semi ambulatory. I use a walker. The trail that leads to gift shop where the restrooms are is very uneven/rocky. I managed to do ok. The trail to the giraffes was very difficult to manage. They are in the process of getting it more accessible. If you need accessibility, call before you go! Also, during the drive through the animals were very interactive! It was wonderful!!!
