Charles A. Grignon Mansion — Attraction in Kaukauna

My husband and I did the candlelight tour over the weekend.. it was very disappointing and not what I expected. Most of the tour was read off of cards and not rehearsed. Not much background into given as to who Charles was and were given conflicting information on how he died during the tour. Compared to the Galloway House in Fond du Lac, this tour was just sad. The house wasn't as remarkable as I had expected, but they have tried very hard to keep it as it was originally. The curators were very informative and were able to answer most of our questions. I did enjoy the tour and think it is well worth the cost. It is a piece of history that has been preserved. And you do get a horse drawn wagon ride included...
