TALK ABOUT BEING BLOWN AWAY! I my self was moved nearl to tears to see such a large, well thought out, and impressive collection of Americas most valuable historical treassures. What a fantastic museum.
This is a must see when in or around the Casper WY. area. LOVED IT SO VERY MUCH! Remember to leave a healthy donation, it's really worth it to keep a place like this alive and thriving!
The town of Kaycee was likewise a must do stop if you're in the area. I started in Billings MT. and drove to Casper WY. to see the eclipse then stopped at nearly every town in between on the way back, topping it all with a visit to the G. A. Custer Battlefield at Little Big Horn! Plan a weeks vacation all around this stretch of the nation along Interstate 90. A great way to get a very good understanding of the American West and why folks are so keen to protect its history and way of life! I WILL BE BACK AGAIN, SO PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!
Don't forget to stop at the Invasion Bar in Kaycee for a 1/2lb. burger to die for. Some of the BEST hamburger meat I've ever tasted! There is a bar in the back but the front half is 100% family friendly. On Sunday the place was packed with locals and the conversation was enthrallling. Everyone should really have such a deep understanding of the history of the area...

The museum came into being after I left and when I visit the area I make it a point to visit each time. The museum has artifacts from the different periods of settlement in the area, and includes the period of time when Butch Cassidy and others used the area as well as the history of battles between the U.S. Army and Native Americans.
The area’s natural beauty and the images generated by the museum can help visitors visualize Cowboys, Outlaws, Indians, Cavalry and Settlers exploring and living in the area. Many of their direct descendants still live...
