Are we having fun yet? This is not a statement some churches ask themselves enough. Now I don't know if this is something Keystone acutally ask themselves but it sure seems that way.
Jesus not in your heart? Testing the waters? It does not feel like walking into your tradtional church where you might get a name tag across your chest! You will be greeted by someone at every turn but this is welcomed since they are all so friendly. Pastor Brandon Thomas has a way at speaking to people, not judging them but by saying we ALL fall short of God's perfection and we all need some Jesus in our lives. I know I do. =)
Already have Jesus in your heart? A church that does not ask "how can God use you at/for Keystone?" but says "how can God use you to reach others?". Challenging messages that get you thinking about how you are spending your minutes daily. The staff and volunteers maybe some of the most friendly folks on the planet! Ok, I know that is maybe a little bit much to say but these people are genuinely happy to be serving you. Kids ministry is no joke, it's fun and educational. That is a tough thing to do with today's generation. If you are looking for a place to get plugged in, it can't be any easier than it is at Keystone.
So whether you have a personal relationship with Jesus, maybe testing the waters, or just have some questions, you will not find a more welcoming, relevant, modern, diverse church to visit. You...
Read moreWe love being apart of this church family! The people are so genuine and authenticâŚnot just empty religion but normal people whose lives have been changed by God. We love the culture that saysâŚwe are ALL sinners in need of a Savior. What is your SIN flavor and well point you to the God who can change your attitudes, habits, and desires. We love the music and the special events are done with excellence as we want our community to know the God is creative and He is a blast and since we are His image barriers, we should be a fun group of people too. However, âfunâ does not mean âwatered down.â Brandon and Susan lead strong with the Bible as their ultimate truth (regardless of what our culture may say or how we âfeelâ).
Being under the amazing teaching of Susan for Tuesday Bible Study has been a game-changer in my life!! She is so funny yet wise beyond her years with Godâs truth (Vocationally Biblical counselor for 20+years), so she is one of our best kept secrets! And our 4 kids have grown up loving this church, as they serve and build their own faith and community! The Student ministry âcrew leadersâ commit to serving that group of teens as they grow up through middle school and high school (a 6 year commitment!!!) to invest in their lives!! We love this House and the fact that not everyone looks like us (like Heaven will be). Weâd love to have more new friends to do this live with, so come check out...
Read moreToday was my first time visiting this church. Overall, it was an okay experience. The people I interacted with who work/volunteer here were friendly and the campus was clean. My young daughter said she enjoyed going to her childrenâs class.
In the main service, extremely loud music was played for about the first 30-40 minutes. It was so unnecessarily loud at times that the sound was distorted. Same when the lead pastor stepped on stage to speak â his mic was so loud that his voice sounded distorted. They do have earplugs available upon entry, but what good would that do for my infant son? Thankfully he slept through the music with a blanket strategically placed to cover his ears. After the music, Pastor Andre (a guest pastor, I believe?) spoke for the rest of the service, which was enjoyable. I will give this church another try â hopefully the music will not be so unbelievably loud next time.
Edited to add, a changing table in the âFamily Restroomâ would have been a great addition. I was told that there are no baby changing tables in any of the restrooms â only in the mothersâ lounge for nursing mothers. Itâs something that makes a big difference for a mama who has...
