this review is mostly just to respond to the person who encountered a snake -- that is a common garter snake. it's not super dangerous. although it does bite, but it generally doesn't puncture skin and the venom is very mild and may feel like poison ivy.
for actually reviewing the beach, it's not bad. there are multiple trails down with varying difficulties and the environment is very nice. if you go, you may notice physically-tagged plants. please do not remove the tags, those are part of a long-term monitoring study...
