Kennebunk Dog Park — Attraction in Kennebunk

We were in town visiting for a couple of days staying down the road in our camper. We always look for local dog parks when we're on the road to give our dog some good run around time. We brought our large pup over twice, once late in the day just before dusk, and then again the next late morning. There was no one there when we went late, but the next day the was a constant flow of dogs, usually at least a dozen inside the play area. All the dogs and owners were GREAT!! There's a large play area with lots of tennis balls available along with a couple of other toys people have left behind. Also had plenty of water people obviously leave, what a great dog...

Doesn't take much to have a very good dog park. Kudos to Kennebunk for devoting the space to one. With limited sidewalks in this area it's wonderful to have a nice fenced in area for dogs to run safe. Areas for large and small dogs separated. Plenty of seating for owners. Close parking. Sep,'24 update. Bare bones right now. Area is under reconstruction and not much more than a large fenced in area right now. Still popular later in the afternoon but not do much other times. Hoping for improvements...

Very nice dog park we have a 10 pound Jack Russell terrier and well originally we got some of the dogs to be too aggressive after about the third or fourth time we went there our Lil dude connected and bonded with them now they remember him and he remembers them he gets very excited when we get even closer to the park. He, our Lil Dude has a Posse and he loves it. The owners are all really nice to even only the big barky dogs they are considerate and thoughtful the owners and monitor their dogs pretty wellHighly...
