This Might Be the Ultimate Guide to Pumpkin Patches in Seattle?

We had a great experience working with Briscot Farm for our son’s 3rd birthday! We reserved the area under the magnolia trees and it was just perfect. It was a great shady area (felt about 10 degrees cooler than in the direct sun on an 85 degree day). The rates are very reasonable and working with the owners was a zero stress experience! They were super helpful, answered all my questions, and even helped unload tables from our truck. They were also super sweet interacting with my kiddos & sang happy birthday to our little guy. The farm has lots of areas to explore but it’s not too big or commercial. They have yard games, a couple of bouncers, fish, goats, donkeys, Clydesdales, mini cows, and chickens. You can buy food to feed some of the animals and they have a small concession stand with fresh made cotton candy, popcorn, smoked corn, drinks, and snow cones. We had kids from 2 to 11, and all of them had a blast! We look forward to several more visits just to play and highly recommend it for a fun party venue!

It was a small and low key farm. We went on a Sunday afternoon and there weren't any crowds. The prices are reasonable. The lady running the farm was an absolute sweetheart. The haunted walk dudnt have any characters, but some props are spooky enough to startle younger children. If your child is easily startled, in general, they may not enjoy it. There's no pumpkin field, but they have an area with pre-picked pumpkins where you can go to weigh and buy pumpkins. Pumpkins were 50 cents per lb. I recommend you give earlier in the day, by the time we were ready for food and hot drinks they had run out of hot water and roasted corn. They still had snacks, and my kid had a blast!

I have loved this place mostly without reservation until todays off putting interaction with someone who worked there?

This place is darling and fun. My toddler loves going there. My only previous gripe is that the place SWARMS with bees, they cover nearly the entire area where kids are playing and no signs or warning of the enormous amount of bees is posted. I understand this is an outdoor space... however this is a huge lawn kids play and run on.... signs or something could be posted: I was on edge the entire time thinking my kids was gonna get stung. I mean... bees are literally EVERYWHERE. Also... the grass is maintained in such a way that if you are wearing sandals on a hot sunny day you will get scratched from the many sharp weeds / sticker bush type things in the grass. My toddler had instances where sharp weeds poked him through the bottom and sides of his sandals and this is in their main play area. Bummer! I understand this is a working farm but maybe encourage people to wear sneakers even on a hot sunny day if grass is not going to be maintained. Other than that we love this place.

I love this place so much that I was interested in having my son's bday here however have changed my mind based on todays interaction. I wrote a chirpy message to the farm asking about their party space. (It's plastic tables and chairs tucked behind a shed far away from the play area out of sight) I asked if there is any way it can be moved out to the huge yard area so people such as grandparents who need to sit at times can both sit, eat and enjoy watching the kiddos.

The reply I got was a blunt "we are not a child care. This place is interactive." It was SUPER strange, rude and off putting. I simply excitedly asked about services they provide and they assumed I wanted to sit back and leave kids unsupervised? Umm no. That is so so strange to me. Long story short- we will book elsewhere with someone less assuming.

All in all if you don't get accused of something strange then this...

We went here for a birthday party. My son absolutely loved it. The bouncy houses were his favorite part (there were 3), but he also loved the animals. They have cups of food you can buy to feed all the chickens and geese and turkeys. There are also donkeys, cows, and horses. Our friends rented out a space with two large tents and a large dance floor where they set up a full band. It was away from the main shared play area.

Things to consider from a parent perspective:

There’s not much staff oversight. I couldn’t tell who actually worked there. No uniforms or other identification. There was no waiver we were asked to sign regarding injury from animals or on the bouncy houses. There are rules posted, but no enforcement of rules for safety. That seems to be up to the parents. Bring extra socks. They have to wear socks on the bouncy houses, but the ground around them gets muddy, so their socks get dirty and wet quick. It appears they have water on the bouncy house slides sometimes. I’m not sure when they use it. It was not turned on when we were there, but it might be worth bringing towels and a change of clothes just in case they do have it on...
