West Fenwick Park is an exceptional recreational area that offers something for everyone, making it an ideal destination for families and individuals alike. With its expansive grounds, the park truly shines as a community asset, drawing locals and visitors alike to enjoy its lush greenery and diverse amenities.

One standout feature of the park is its variety of entertainment options. Children can delight in the playground equipment, including slides, swings, and other play structures designed for both fun and safety. The park's playground areas are thoughtfully designed to ensure the safety of young children, with sand play areas arranged in creative and engaging configurations.

Additionally, the park boasts soccer fields, basketball courts, and volleyball courts, providing ideal venues for friendly matches among friends, family, or even organized teams. The well-maintained grassy fields and even playing surfaces offer optimal conditions for showcasing athletic skills.

Moreover, the park's natural surroundings are a significant highlight. Lush green trees, vibrant flowers, and well-kept landscaping create a picturesque backdrop for outdoor activities and leisurely strolls. Whether enjoying a picnic or simply soaking in the beauty of nature, visitors will find solace and tranquility in the park's serene ambiance.

This park is definitely in the best state it's been in years! Having grown up in the area, I've seen this park get remodeled more than a handful of times. Each time the park gets better for the most part, but there's the occasional issue. However, with the most recent remodel, I'd say there's hardly a single thing wrong with the design, layout, or quality of the equipment. I know there was an issue with the spinning wheel, but that seems to have been remedied the last time I was there. The quantity of play sets here is amazing, and really allows children of all ages to have fun, and allows a little bit of separation of the ages, as certain sets are catered to younger children while others are meant for older children. The only set I feel I'd be concerned with, is the "Amazon warehouse roller bar track" styled slide, as there could be the possibility of getting fingers squished or clothing caught between the rolling bars as you slide down. It does feel pretty funny to slide down though! It's my daughters favorite slide there as you can really get some speed on such a short slide! We haven't yet used it, but the new mini permanent soccer pitch by the tennis courts is really cool. It's definitely one of the most occupied areas of the park on any given day. I really hope that this park gets to stay in it's current configuration for...

The playground is close to a busy street but (and this is awesome) it has a fence to block children from the street. Something about the playground design made it so that i didn’t even have to worry about my toddler going to the parking lot let alone go to the street. All the slides pointed to the open field and going up to the fence was an uphill battle, literally. But once your kid goes up the small hill there are several slides that guide them down and send them to a whole lot of fun, like, some fun blocks and a rainbow road that’s fun for all ages. The toboggans are way too cool. We also, caught the Kent parks department laying out some amazing activities. This...

Have you ever played Chutes and Ladders in real life? I recently went to West Kenwick Park in Kent, WA with my 5-year-old son, and we had a blast playing a life-sized game of Chutes and Ladders. The playground is built on fun artificial turf hills for the slides and ladders, and the board game spinner doubles as a merry-go-round with lots of small spinners placed strategically along the path. The instructions also mention that you can bring along some dice or use an app on your phone as other ways to “spin”. It was such a unique experience for both me and my son! I highly recommend this playground for anyone looking for a more interactive day out with their kids. When was the last time you played Chutes & Ladders? It had been a while for me, but it was fun playing a childhood favorite game in real life!
