Angel Windows Trailhead - Red River Gorge — Attraction in Kentucky

This trail was an easy distance/moderate trail (we went after significant rain/flooding, so it might be easy all around in other circumstances...there were a lot of roots/obstacles/mud after so much rain, though). The trail winds along the edge of a steep drop off, so that is something to consider if hiking with kids, dogs, at sunset, etc. The Angel Windows arches were gorgeous, as per usual of the arches...

This is an easy hike, great for kids, older hikers, or anyone who just wants a short walk with a meaningful reward at the end. The trail is mostly flat, but has a few roots and uneven spots, so sturdy shoes help.

This hike is only 1/4 mile out and then back, so 1/2 mile total. You will likely pass the parking if you are going to sky bridge arch and it's worth the stop! These arches are smaller but just as unique and beautiful. My kids loved these ones! My son especially loved the one that looks like a horse's head! Easy parking, shirt, moderate trail....
