A must-see stop in Red River Gorge it's easy, beautiful, and family-friendly!
Princess Arch is one of those trails that reminds you just how much beauty can be packed into a short, easy hike. It’s less than half a mile round-trip and super accessible, making it perfect for families, casual hikers, or anyone just looking for a peaceful walk with a big payoff.
The trail is mostly flat with a few roots and rocks, but nothing too tricky. Once you reach the arch, the views are stunning—especially if you walk across the top (just be cautious near the edges). There’s also a cool little spot underneath that locals sometimes call “Little Princess Arch.”
Great spot for photos, picnics, or just soaking in the quiet. It’s one of my favorite quick hikes in the Gorge. Highly recommend if you’re short on time but still want that “wow” feeling.

Don’t wash your car before you head out here- the long gravel road to the trailheads is very dusty, it looked almost like it had snowed on my car when...
