The park itself is very nice. The bathrooms and shower facilities need upgrading. Showers offer little to no privacy, and are just gross to say the least. The RV sites do not have sewer hook up. There are no on site recreation amenities other than a fish cleaning station. No canoe, kayak, tube, fishing, or other rentals, you have to bring it in yourself. There are playgrounds, picnic shelters, and basketball/volletball courts (bring your own ball). When we arrived on Sunday, someone was still in our space at 4:30 pm, although it was reserved and confirmed for us to check in at 2 pm. The previous renters should have been gone by 1 pm. The park is open on Sunday, but the office is not. There is no one to assist you if you are in need because no one is supervising or managing anything on Sunday. I understand the office is closed, but having literally no one on staff and a park full of day visitors, RVs, and tent campers is just asking for problems. The park is beautiful and situated in a nice area, but the facilities and service are basic and rustic. It's definitely not up to par with other RV parks we have visited. If not for the lake and hiking trails. this place would be a one...
Read moreEnjoyed our stay here, it is a lovely campground with beautiful views. We were on lot 70 and we had views on three sides. Would say that 71 may be slightly better as you would not have anyone in front of you. If you don’t mind direct sun, 69 would be the primo spot with awesome views from a high vantage point. Would def stay here again. Tons of positives, only negatives are not having sewer hookups and public access to lake can get busy on weekends and sometimes can be a little bit rowdy. I will say law enforcement was visible with frequent ride through during busy times. Water pressure was very strong & we added a flow regulator while we were here. Picnic tables grills and fire rings in good repair. Some fire rings also had grill grates that could be turned over the fire. Very well maintained grounds with lots of lush trees and grass. Enjoyed watching the geese. If you can, take the time to visit Haneys Appledale Farm a few minutes towards Nancy for fresh veggies or...
Read moreWent to Pulaski County Park today since I have never been to do a little hiking. I did the small 1 mile loop from the easy trail going to the Cain's Bridge and back on the Raven's Trail which is part of the advanced trail. The views are amazing and on the way back to the parking lot on the Raven's Trail came across a small group of 3 to 4 deer about 20 yards from the trail. They didn't run off and just kept eating and walking so you know they are used to seeing humans but with that said they are still wild animals which means they are dangerous. The full hike of the whole loop of the trails is 8.34 miles round trip from starting in the parking lot to ending in the parking lot. The trails are all marked but be careful because there are some false trails that lead off and if not careful you can get off the trail and lost quick. I highly suggest PC Park if your looking for a great place to take a stroll...
