Full experience is based on what the campground advertises as “primitive” camping. If you are somebody who actually enjoys camping (primitive or even just campground camping)- these spots are AWFUL. All 8 spots in primitive A are basically in a giant field, piled right on top of eachother with no real markers or way to determine where one spot ends and another starts. We had to ask our “neighbors” where they intended to set up their stuff so we could set up around them!. We had attempted to lookup pictures of the spots online before booking but there weren’t any. When we arrived to our campsite it was littered in garbage. Everything from empty liquor bottles to fast food sauce packets and plastic utensils scattered everywhere and mushed into the bottom of the fireplace. The porta potties that they have set up for people to use in those spots are absolutely filthy and look (and smell) like they haven’t been cleaned in ages. Just from immediate site it appears that people were using them to dump garbage in?! The campground advertises as having rules and noise ordinances from 11pm-7am but yet 3 out of the 8 campsites in our area were on full party mode ALL NIGHT with bright home patio lights, loud generators running, kids running through our campsite right next to our tent SCREAMING and constant yelling back and forth THROUGH OUR CAMPSITE. On top of being unable to sleep all night, we were woken at 6am by more screaming. Not once during our entire time being there did we see any park worker anywhere except for the 1 in the office at check in. As somebody who enjoys nature, likes traveling, and actually “primitive” camps, it was honestly a really disappointing experience and a waste of the $56 it costs to book for 2 nights (which we didn’t even do- we left after 1 night because of how awful our experience was). I think this campground is mainly just for people with RVs and Campers and they just figured they could make more money throwing some tent spots in a field and labeling them as “primitive”. The little bit of the camper/Rv area we did see was very nice.

Love this place. Just a little busy with fast golf cars of younsters driving. Seen a lot of close encouters with vehicles and other golf cars. Seen one close to our site hit a tree by looking back to look for their friend, lucky no one got hurt. You can tell them to slow down, they just tell you to shut up. Oh well, other than this its great all around place to camp. Wonderful staff.

I already added a review of this and it seems to have disappeared. The park is situated in a beautiful area. The RV lots are large and well spaced. The lake is nice, but other than a fish cleaning station, playgrounds, and ball courts, there are no amenities offered to campers. There are no rentals available kayaks, canoes, floats, ect. Coin laundry closes at 3 pm. There is no map of the entire park, just maps of certain areas, so you have to figure out how to get from one area to another using sign posts. The Eagle Scout trails were very nice. We were extremely disappointed with the bathroom facilities. They remind me of what I can only describe as 1970s jail house showers. The showers offer no privacy and the bathroom structures themselves are extremely dated. Water is barely luke warm, showers are not adjustable, there aren't counters or any kind of area to place items except a small bench. Showers are open stall with plastic curtains across. 3 showers, 3 toilets. We have stayed at many campgrounds and these bathroom facilities were by far the worst. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay, but dreaded having to use the showers...

Campground beautiful loves it but bathhouse was nasty!! Couldn't shower in there because there was black mold all over walls and shower curtains which were torn couldn't shut. Floors in bathhouse were covered with hair ,slimy weeds from lake, filthy. There was mold in toilet stacks plus human feces smeared on walls, commode, floor!!!!! Would not have used bath house for anything it was gross!!!! Campsites for trailers and motorhomes had tents in those areas and in between. It said no primative camping,no bikes,no motorcycles they were everywhere! More dogs than people i think barking and fighting all night!! Kids flying around roads on golf carts blocking roads running out in front of vehicles!! No rules followed in park! Roadways blocked making it hard to get around park by vehicles just parked everywhere. Girls in office were super nice and park is beautiful but someone needs to watch what goes on some unsafe things going on. Unfair practices -happening for those who abide by rules. Otherwise I love the...
