Really like roaming the park with my dog. In the spring, the back side, and certain fields on either side of driveway, where full of beautiful bright tall yellow flowers. It was amazing to see. I am new to area. I soon realized i couldn't take my dog into the dog run parks. I learned you had to pay fees somewhere. I'm from Lexington, and we never had to do that with in our dog parks. So, I just run my dog on the trails, taking her leash. I do want to say to the people who so coose to come here. DO NOT LITTER! If you feel you can't control your behavior on this matter, stay away. The park is Not for those wishing to destroy, or ruin the pristine land. I've picked up several items of litter. Just don't do it. I enjoy this park, and it's ever changing...

I attended the Painted Stone Settlers Day at Red Orchard Park in Shelbyville, KY and I was greatly impressed with the people who gave up their time to reenact the early lifestyles of the Kentucky residents. Authentic from the tents down to their clothes. These reenactors were the real deal. They even had their kids with them. Best of all they held a mock battle with muskets and a cannon it was so real it felt like I had time traved to the farm in the late 17th century. But I will tell you what, if my son ever miss behaves all I have to tell him now is it's time to go be a settler and do settler things and he...

We went today for the story walk & had an awesome day. We even packed a light lunch. My son really enjoyed his self . From playing on all the different play equipment throughout the park/exercise equipment to just enjoying the outdoors .One of his favorite things from today was seeing the creek , discovering raccoon tracks (on our personal scavenger hunt list) , but his very most favorite was just getting to spend the day with his mom he said . That to me is what it's all about is just getting out and spending quality time together and Red Orchard Park is a great place to just go & have fun . For the most part it stays picked up & nice. Also the trails are mowed...
