My review is just for the skatepark, I wish it had a separate google location from the rest of the park. This skatepark is well built but poorly designed for kind of skaters in Kerrville which is mostly younger, beginner types. This is really for the more advanced transition skater and even then the layout is questionable. The transitions are super tight and part of the quarter pipe wall, which is maybe 6ft high, goes vert. The handrail and hubba are a little steep for their size. The ledges are all in the 2-3 foot high range. The pyramid is a pretty good size and its placement is good considering all the other limitations. The long 4 ft. high quarter pipe wall is situated in a way that makes it hard to hit either backside or frontside. It really needs to be expanded with the beginner street skater in mind, including a flat, curb height manual pad and ledge, maybe with some step ups to a higher ledge. It can use a smaller set of stairs and a flat rail. Maybe some mellower transition would be good and even a small pump track for beginners to learn how to maintain speed on transition. The covered bleachers are nice, but a few standard park benches around the skate park would be great. Good lighting for night skating is a big plus here. I hope the city can expand this someday and consult with locals who are experienced to make a better park for the kids...
Read more"I recently visited Singing Wind Park in Kerrville, Texas, and I was blown away by the incredible facilities they have to offer. The park is well-maintained and absolutely pristine, creating a peaceful and inviting atmosphere.
One of the highlights of this park is its awesome facilities. The swimming pools were clean and refreshing, providing the perfect escape from the Texas heat. There were also ample seating areas and shaded spots where you could relax and enjoy a picnic with family and friends.
Another standout feature was the skate park. I was impressed by its well-designed layout and the range of equipment available for skaters of all skill levels. It's great to see a park that caters to the diverse interests and hobbies of its visitors.
Overall, Singing Wind Park exceeded my expectations with its amazing facilities. Whether you're looking to cool off in the pools or practice your skateboarding skills, this park has something for everyone. I highly recommend visiting this park if you find yourself in...
Read moreThe playground has VERY nice play structures, the layout is great with a larger space for bigger kids and a smaller, covered, toddler friendly playground. A pavilion, a grill and several benches are also throughout. There is a restroom but is is filthy and in need of a deep cleaning, updated fixtures and a paint job. The play equipment needs a deep cleaning and the ground surface is old and lacking. A good cleaning and fresh mulch and it would be perfect. Overall it is still nice and with very little money and effort it could be super nice. It would be a shame to see something as nice as this continue to...
