Dot's Market — Attraction in Kettering

Last few weeks the meat counter has been more than busy and under staffed. Typical wait has been half hour or more. T bones and porterhouse steaks have been looking very poor as well.

Tonight on 4/18/2916 at 8pm, 2 of the 3 meat counter employees thought it would be better to take off and smoke than help customers. I know because I over heard their conversation with the lone worker left. The one lady being helped took 15 mins ordering multiple things. In that time the fat lady packing the hot line refused to look at me and when asked about 7 layer salad told me there was none and it couldnt be made. Then a dick in line said call in orders go ahead of people that have been waiting and the one worker gladly skipped us that had been waiting. At that point I was fed up and left. Oh and that was after I called the store from my cell phone requesting more help at the counter.

I was easily going to have close to $100 in meat on my steak order for my employees 25th party.

Screw dots, I don't care how close they are or how fresh they think their steaks are, krogers always has better looking steaks and I dont need a worker to get me a porterhouse or filet from behind the counter. And f* their call in policy for meat.

I shop there all the time. If anything isn’t right they MAKE it right. Stop in the Bull Pen, their restaurant before shopping to save on your grocery bill. The Deli is home made right there. Many types of potato salad and a vast variety of salads.Prepared foods like meat loaf, chicken and dumplings, spaghetti, cabbage rolls, lasagna, pot pie, chicken and noodles it goes on and on. I buy their whole beef tenderloins when they are on sale, usually about 9-10 pounds. The meat dept. will cut it the thickness you want, package two to a package, trim the loin and grind the trim into hamburger. See !! This is a Real old fashioned market with folks that talk to you about just what you want. The Bull Pen that I mentioned has some ladies that can flat cook !!! Just stop for a plate of their biscuits and gravy !!! You will be back again real soon. Great prices !! Grandpa this is the best place to bring the grandkids for that special treat. It will be the only chance for them to see a real old fashioned market. Those ladies back there spoil those kids while there. Give it a try and see for yourself...

What a Sunday! I’ve lived in Kettering a while now and I never really go to dots for a few reasons but I just needed to grab some lunch meat! Ham and Turkey just a 1/3 of a pound! The deli clerk was rude and told me “They didn’t have Turkey”! Ig she thought I was blind and didn’t see it before I asked! She acted like she couldn’t hear me! Shook her head like I told her to apply at dots and cut lunch meat! I didn’t cuss her out bc it’s Sunday and I had my child with me! I would never tolerate this mess on a regular day nor at Krogers ! I asked for it to be cut a certain way that was an issue ! ATP hurry up bc my blood is boiling ! I get to the register and the cashier made sure she kept her eyes on my daughter while she played with the squishy! Cashier my daughter holding a 1k phone I’m sure we can afford 1.99 or 4.99 for the squishy! Everyone don’t steal! NO MATTER THEIR RACE SWEETIE! I will never and I mean never go back to Dots!
