We are all about the lakes and have been to many of them over the years. I hesitated, wanted to give it 3 stars when I compare to others we love. But it's a weak 4 from us. It's just very dirty, both the beach and the water itself. The swimming area isn't very big.
The park is carry in/carry out, but seems to be frequented by people who have absolutely no concept of personal responsibility or picking up after their kids. I have 4 children and I make sure we leave the place the way we found it, or even pick up after others.
There was no lifeguard on duty, but regardless I watch my kids closely even if there was one. Had to pull my toddler out of the water on this trip.
With that said, there are many positives. The location is great, facilities available, old playground but kids still like it, not very busy but a little crowded on weekends. They even inflated our floatie for us, which was very kind of them as it's meant for floaties you purchase there at the snack stand. There are better lakes out there, but if your expectations aren't high, you can enjoy some swimming here.
PS: we didn't bring one, but I do love that grills...
Read moreim giving this 2 stars due to the fact they dont limit people, my boyfriend and our 5 kids go every sunday. this past sunday we went and it was packed. there were no tables, no where to even set your stuff down on the beach the water was just a sea of people and yet they were continuing to allow people in. we literally spent money to be there for 20 minutes walking around looking for a place to set our stuff down, after just treking 5 kids from the back lot with stuff (front lot was full and blocked off) to just have to leave because there was no space. you should do a better job counting how many people are in the park and how many tables/ areas are open so no one wastes time energy or money. i dont understand why clough and pawtuckaway are able to do this but not this place? and when i asked for my money back i get told i have to write a letter to concord? how about you literally just stole money from me by allowing me in a park with no space for me and...
Read moreBeautiful place. Plenty of picnic tables and grills. They even have a little snack bar. It has a spot to blow up your floats. You can rent canoes. The only thing for us that I didn't like was the beach part wasn't very sandy. More like rocky dirt. Which is fine for kids a little older than my daughter. But at 1 yr old she needs more fine sand. But it didn't change the fun we had. Water was nice and clean. Swimming area is a little small but they limit the number of people who are there. We purchased our day pass the night before online to reserve a parking spot as they fill up quickly. Made getting in very quick and simple. Just hand the person at the booth the printed pass and you are all set. The bathrooms were clean. Everything was easily accessible and we enjoyed the day. Would absolutely go again and would recommend for anyone looking for a cheap, fun beach day and...
