Mooreland Mansion — Attraction in Kirtland

Mooreland Mansion helped make our day absolutely perfect. Not too many people are familiar with this venue but it is fantastic! As soon as the groom and I walked in and looked around the space and gardens, we knew right away it was where we wanted to have the ceremony and reception. We originally started the planning with Sherry, but she moved out of state, so Katie came in and took over. Katie was so helpful and organized. She made planning a breeze and I never worried about a thing. The event staff, Barbara and Marie, that are there the day of the event are so good at keeping things running smoothly. They could probably do this in their sleep. The ceremony was beautiful, the gardens make awesome locations for photos, and the food at the reception was great. Our bartenders, and the security officers were wonderful. Our guests raved about it all and 2 months later are still talking about how our wedding was the best they've been to in awhile. I give credit to the staff at Mooreland, and the venue itself offers such a romantic and different option for weddings. Being able to get married outside in the rose garden and have photos in the other garden were just what we were looking for. Our guests enjoyed cocktails and our toasts out on the back patio and dinner inside the mansion. To us and our guests, being able to dance outside on the back verandah on a beautiful summer night was so much better than inside a ballroom. We could not have asked for a better wedding day. Loved, loved, loved Mooreland Mansion!! When we started planning our wedding, my husband and I knew we wanted something different, and we knew we wanted the ceremony and reception at the same place. The first place we looked at was Mooreland, and we fell in love instantly. Mooreland is the ideal place for a romantic and timeless wedding. The rose garden was beyond beautiful for the ceremony, and the verandah was an amazing spot for the reception! The grounds are perfect for pictures, too. The staff at Mooreland, Marie especially, were wonderful to work with! They all made the planning process a breeze, and were very organized with every detail. What I really loved about Mooreland was that they provided a lot for the ceremony and reception. I didn't have to rent any table, chairs, linens, china, or silverware for the big day. They even provide some of the decorations! This made my planning a breeze. The food from their private caterer was AMAZNG!! We got so many compliments on how wonderful the food was. The day of the wedding, Marie made us feel as if we were her family, and went out of her way to make sure everything went perfectly. All in all, we had an absolutely perfect wedding at Mooreland Mansion, and would highly recommend this...

We got married at the mansion at the end of October 2021. We had our ceremony in the rose garden, and then dancing and dinner inside.

We fell in love with the mansion when we first pulled up to it. The location was significant for us as my husband and I met eachother close by.

The mansion and grounds were gorgeous. Definitely worthy of 5 stars.

The food from Normandy Catering was fantastic as well, no complaints there.

The planning of the event was less than ideal. We had one event coordinator that left the company 2 months before our big day. Then, the woman that replaced her left the week of our wedding.

We were then on to our third event coordinator days before the wedding. The bridal party had to step up and help with decorations, planning, etc. the day of… which was frustrating as we were told that their staff would assist in setting everything up.

The seats in the ceremony space were soaking wet from the rain the day before, and no one was around to address last minute issues like these.
