Good multi-use trail to take my dogs, but there is NO path from the trails to the overlook without walking in the road. No sidewalks or safe place to walk next to the road either. Very clear signage at each intersection, so it was easy to know where you are at all times. I went in the fall so the leaves were kind to doggy paws, but they also covered lots of big tree roots and rocks that I kept rolling my ankle on. Finally, the overlook was littered with trash.

Amazing little hike! Found a little slot to see downtown Knoxville/The Sunsphere, which was the cherry on top! Highly recommend to anyone looking for something close to the city, but still feels like you have your own little corner of the world. Parking and picnic areas around the park (check the map), and is a multi-use trail for mountain biking as well - stay alert and keep to the right side of the path

Recently completed improvements have made most of the eastern picnic area in the park accessible and improved the accessibility of the overlook. While the improvements were focused on ADA upgrades, they've really made an impact and updated the experience for everyone who visits.

While we were walking on the trail we encountered a couple whom mitsubishi appeared they were dressing after doing things that shouldn't be done in public view . Then the women proceed to cuss and use profanity at the black.male. the women continued to walk quickly down the trail while the male stayed quiet and just took his sweet time while pulling up his 3 pairs of pants he had on. At this moment we heard what sounded like gun.shoots and the women came running back toward us and Saif that it was gun fire and it was the police looking for her and she said she ain't going back.with.them.sunce she was trespassed from.thd.home she was evictdd.from. she proceded to strach.ay herself saying her man should have brought bug spray for the ants since.he knew they were.gonna be staying in the woods. She asked us if there was another way.out to the road, in which I replyed that we didn't know. She hhen.asjed us for a cigarette. Which we declined and ahe hurried along. When we got back to the parking lot our friend who was there waiting for us told us she had also approached him. Anyway as we were driving out of the area we encounter the women again who.was hitch hiking. Needless to say despite the beauty of the place the ugly people have made sure we will not be returning to this...

Used to be nice. Today I had 2 people try to fake needing help at the peak (for obvious reasons). Kept driving and went back down to the other overlook. Someone else in a group of 4 peed on my wheels. Within that 5 minutes the 2 guys that needed help at the peak were miraculously fine and driving back down honking their horn. Just another spot in Knoxville ruined by trashy people. Literally an assault...
