I recently visited Victor Ashe Park, and I must say, it's a wonderful park with a lot to offer. As someone who enjoys walking to get their daily steps in, I found the park to be an excellent spot for some leisurely strolls.

One of the best features of the park is its well-maintained and nicely paved walking trails. These paths made walking around the park a breeze and provided a smooth and comfortable experience. The scenic beauty of the park, with lush greenery and well-groomed landscapes, added to the overall pleasant ambiance during my walks.

Moreover, Victor Ashe Park boasts a variety of amenities that cater to different interests. While I mainly focused on walking, I noticed several recreational facilities, like playgrounds and sports areas, which would make it an ideal destination for families and sports enthusiasts alike. The park seems to offer something for everyone, which is always a plus.

Despite these positives, I did encounter one minor drawback during my visit. The drinking fountain near the walking trails was not functional, which was a bit disappointing. As I wanted to stay hydrated during my walks, not being able to fill up my water bottle was a letdown. I hope this issue is addressed soon so that visitors can enjoy the park to the fullest.

Overall, though, Victor Ashe Park is a lovely place to walk and spend some quality time outdoors. Its beautiful surroundings, well-kept walking trails, and abundance of amenities make it a great spot for both individuals and families seeking recreation and relaxation. If the issue with the drinking fountain is resolved, it would further enhance the overall experience. I would definitely recommend this park to anyone looking for a nice place to take a stroll or engage in various...

Good paved 5k loop for running/walking near downtown Knoxville/Western Ave! Has smaller loops, forest to walk through (all well paved, or they also have several dirt trails around the premise), sporting fields, kids playgrounds, bathrooms, dog park, picnic areas, horses come up to their pasture fence on occasion, skate park, bubbling cricks, massive disc golf holes, pond to fish in, etc. I come here a lot for the loop, but also bring a yoga mat on occasion too. Family and dog friendly. Between the two smaller loops (which are still huge and have their own parking lots) is a single walkway through the forest which you’ll use to also get back to your starting point - quiet and serene, but can get crowded between 5:30-7:30 - and where you’ll find the horses and cricks. The other thing is that some vandals came through years ago and painted several large phallic outlines on the paved walkway just before and in the forest, which has been painted over black to the exact same outline by maintenance, so if you have very observant kids you don’t want to talk about it with, just keep it movin’ - they’re huge and still very noticeable imo lol The second half of the 5k loop appears to be on a school’s grounds, so it can also get busy over there too, or have differences in appearance/care, but they’re both good at keeping it relatively well groomed. This is the best for really sunny days too, as a decent chunk is covered by foliage! Highly recommend coming here and relaxing or getting some exercise in! Whatever you like to do in a park, this place...

The park is very large and enjoyable! There's a disc golf course on the grounds, dog park, small playground, a fishing area, and an area to practice soccer. I've been to this park every blue moon throughout the years for school field trips and such but I never got to enjoy the whole park until Thursday afternoon. I went with a family member and actually got to go around the whole trail of the park. It is most definitely a great place to go walking but given how large it is for safety reasons maybe bring a friend or tell someone where you are going if going by yourself. I did not see any security rolling around the area so be aware of your surroundings. I did get a nice sweat in and it wasn't too busy around 1 during the weekday. The one major problem that I absolutely did not like and feel should be worked on was the restrooms. I went to the ladies room and the smell was horrific and then after going into several of the stalls I found out why. The toilets don't flush all that great but also in literally every stall there was poop in the toilets and no one bothered to flush. I have never been that level of disgusted and disturbed by a freaking bathroom. I don't know how often the city comes around to stock the toilet paper or whatever but the needs of a properly full functioning bathroom needs to be addressed. I would have given the park a better review if not for the...

This is a great park, we visited for the disc golf course. The course is a park-style course with a mix of open shots, wooded shots, and low ceiling shots. We played the shorts, which are honestly going to be quite tough for a beginner or lower arm speed player. There are several 400+ foot par 3s, and many in the 280-350 range. I can't speak to the long layout, as I didn't play it. The largest drawback to the course is that there is a lot of walking between tee pads. Hole 18 does finish near the parking lot, though. Beyond disc golf, this is a great park with tons of space and features. Would definitely visit again.

Large park with lengthy walking trail, large frisbee golf course, soccer fields, dog park, playground, and greenway. Pavilion with grill spaces adjoining the playground. The walking trail/greenway to the school is my favorite part- beautiful scenery that feels like it is out in the country instead of a city park. Ample parking, with the option to park at the school around the corner and walk in along the greenway if the main part of the park is full. Gate hours and Google hours don’t always match the Actual hours- we found it was open quite a bit later in the summer than what was indicated online.
