If you’re looking for a truly unique Texas experience that blends rich history, beautiful scenery, and a touch of old-world charm, Kreische Brewery & Monument Hill State Historic Sites in La Grange is a must-visit. This hidden gem offers a fascinating glimpse into the state’s early brewing heritage and honors Texas heroes, all set atop a scenic bluff with sweeping views of the Colorado River. I'd suggest you stop by and enjoy the heritage while listening to local artists and enjoying the...
Read moreStonehenge, but for beer? This state park is one on the best kept I have ever had the pleasure of strolling through. The grounds are so very well kept, so well kept infact you can feel the history surrounding you as you walk the trails that echo the footsteps of the men who settled this untamed piece of wilderness before us. Quarried from the surrounding land, the brewery remains are nothing less then breath taking. Every stone has a story it could tell and there are hundreds of thousands of stones all combining to show the ultimate price to pay for a tall frosty cold one. The cherry on top, Monument Hill, a view over all of LA Grange, the valley as well as the Colorado River. Pictures just can not do it justice. Definitely make time to visit Kreische Brewery State Park if you are in the area. Disappointment is not possible.
