Every time I pass through La Grange, I always stop for a hike at Kreische Brewery.. Although the trails are not particularly long there are many points of interest packed in to such a small park. The entire area has a very interesting history. The land the home sits on was purchased in 1849 by German immigrant, Ludwig Kreische. He was a master stonemason and his dedication to detail and quality construction is still evident today. Visiting this historic homestead is a rare view in days long past. If you are in the area I highly recommend visiting.
