A Hidden Gem at the Jersey Shore – Argo Farms is a Must-Visit!
Argo Farms in Lacey Township is truly a hidden gem that should be on everyone's Jersey Shore bucket list. Whether you're a local or just visiting the area, this place offers an authentic, charming farm experience that’s hard to find elsewhere. My family and I visited during the Fall Festival, and from start to finish, it exceeded our expectations.
First, I have to commend the management—they're simply fantastic! Every aspect of the farm is thoughtfully planned out, from the layout to the activities. You can tell they genuinely care about their visitors' experience, ensuring everything runs smoothly. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and they really make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. It's a breath of fresh air, especially in today’s world, to visit a place where customer service is a top priority.
The Fall Festival itself is absolutely amazing. The pumpkin patches, hayrides, and corn maze are perfect for all ages. Whether you're coming with kids or just looking for a fun day out with friends, there’s so much to do! The jacks and lights are a magical addition to the festival, creating a warm and festive ambiance that makes the entire experience feel extra special. It’s perfect for photo ops too—don’t forget your camera!
If you're visiting in the summer, don’t miss their Blueberry & Sunflower Seasons. The fields are breathtaking, and picking fresh berries and flowers was one of the highlights of our trip. It's such a peaceful, rewarding experience that really brings you back to nature. You can easily spend hours wandering the farm, enjoying the beautiful scenery.
One thing I really appreciated is that the farm isn’t just about activities—there’s a strong sense of community and tradition. The farm market is filled with delicious local goods, including fresh produce, homemade jams, and other seasonal items. We stocked up on some fresh veggies and jams, and they did not disappoint!
Argo Farms strikes the perfect balance between providing fun and interactive experiences while still maintaining that authentic farm charm. You can see the pride they take in their work, and it shows in every corner of the farm. Whether you’re coming for a family outing, a romantic day trip, or even just some solo time in nature, this place is a treasure.
All in all, Argo Farms is more than just a day trip—it’s a full-blown experience that everyone should try at least once. With its top-notch management, friendly staff, and variety of seasonal events, this farm truly stands out. It’s become a family favorite for us, and we can’t wait to return for future seasons...
Read moreI went this October and brought my special needs son. I went closer to closing time, there was hardly anyone at the farm! It was beautiful. That rarely happens especially in a family type of holiday attraction. I can imagine this place being packed! I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much. I can say, the corn hut, where the children played in corn was popular. Kids were running, screaming, and throwing corn all over. I don't care. It just would have been nice if my son could have gotten just a little room, to were a special needs child could also play! And be involved with the activities on the farm. Because most of the attractions at the farm aren't special needs friendly. The other attraction that my son could participate in, was riding the pony. There was a man and a woman working. The man let me follow along behind holding my son while he walked the pony. And the woman took my camera and took a bunch of pictures for me. And that really meant a lot to me. That was going above and beyond! I went inside of the store where unfortunately they did not have fudge! The one thing I was so excited to buy! I was told it was because people at that station called out for the day. I noticed that it was a running theme at Argos farm! While I was buying a drink I was also told that someone from that station also called out. I hope next year you guys will find more reliable workers! I also noticed that most of the employees at the farm were very young. I would guess 17 18 19 years of age? They were doing a good job! Teenagers just don't know the best about customer service LOL but it's a great seasonal job for a high schooler to save up money! At the store I bought their famous donuts. Which were delicious! I wanted to buy some house decorations but everything was a ridiculous amount of money. I understand everything has gone up from inflation but damn! The hayride I was pretty upset at. You can't tell me that it wasn't just another way to get money out of the visitors! From a business standpoint, sure! The hayride is on point for October and the holiday! But all it was, was a tractor. There was no hay. And we were literally taken in a circle in the woods? You just can't make that up. We took a ride through the woods, looking at the mud and the sticks. It was over within 2 minutes. It was actually laughable. But it was something my son could do, so I did it. If I could tell the owner anything, I would make the suggestion for all types of children to be able to play and experience the fun...
Read moreIt screams misleading advertising. And while the “ Im sorry your experience was not met ” response is appreciated ,my frustration is not the first to be shared regarding what was promited . IF no vendors are open weekdays /holidays then ADVERTISE THAT in BRIGHT BOLD LETTERS, not small fine print. Recommendation would be to emphasize Pumpkin Lights “6-9pm” in BIG lettering & include that this is a separate admission to everything and anything. We showed up early (5:15) thinking we could go to the “spook easy, or lil shop for a snack, or maybe have the kids do some of the activities…. Only to be told the earliest you can go in is 6pm, but you’re welcome to wait on this line here or go to the pumpkin patch, which is basically a small field of pumpkins with what were some cute photos ops. When asked if we could go do the fall festival activities as it was a VIP ticket, they said no that’s separate and it would be $45ea to go in, and to quote the young employee “its not worth it cause we close in 40 mins”. Im sorry, could you have not offered an adjusted rate for the hour? That only makes sense- hey, i see you are here early, lets call it 15ea for the 40 mins…. I could have asked for a manager or someone but to be honest of the 4 employees who i engaged with 3/4 were unsure of whether there even was a spook easy and/or if it was open this day. And the kicker is the time say 6pm entrance but you then again have to wait 45mins ( until its dark) to go into the lights display! Claiming we want you to have the best experience so we wait until its dark. While i appreciate that sentiment, i also know that I am an adult, with a small child, and if I deem that its ok for my kid to walk through at dusk vs in darkness then there should be no issue letting us in at any time as our VIP ticket stated. Bottom line the Jack-o-lantern experience in Long Island knocks this out of the park. Please adjust your website with more informative details for...
