Read moreDrove down with three friends to check out the rainbow rail in Olympia and made a stop at the Stottle Winery. We got there pretty late at 4pm but were greeted warmly by the staff. We did the flight sampling, the tasting manager was very knowledgeable and explained to us where the grapes came from and how the wine was made in house.
The wines were exceptional. Each of us has a different preference but was able to find a bottle that we each enjoyed. My friend was a die hard fan of the Hombre, while the others really enjoyed Viognier. The food was pre-packaged but we were able to put together a charcuterie board that complimented the wine really well.
We also learned from the owner that a top 10 Washington wine maker will be joining the winery and an event will be hosted in Sept with more selections. We will definitely be coming...

Also, none of the wines are being produced at the Stottle Lacey location any longer, they have outsourced to crushing, bottling and producing elsewhere, most likely Eastern WA. Food is prepackaged from Trader Joe's. Previous review claiming the wine is made in-house is inaccurate information, see email from the winemaker/owner to support this statement.
