Beautiful location but not the safest destination for youngsters who think they can manage dangerous conditions. It’s all too easy to want to explore the portion that lies on the southern side of the left pool that has a protruding lengthy divide of rock where conditions are unknown. From my understanding that hidden cove is prohibited from entering but many people manage to navigate their way there and the youthful who have not the greatest Judgment will follow suit! For nearly 30 minutes I couldn’t see my 15 year old son and it took some time for the Lifeguard to give their alert that everyone come back to the designated pool that had milder conditions. Even for the experienced swimmer of a rip tide develops it can be very hard to escape and return to land. On fairly hot days there is also no breeze so for heat sensitives be sure to bring umbrellas!!! While the last drownings that occurred at Table Rock Beach where back in 2019 that I know of it doesn’t mean the likelihood of it happening again is slim. Who wants to be another statistic! I don’t want that...
Read moreLoved the views and the water was a beautiful turquoise hue! I took this photo from the top of the stairs. The parking is really difficult to find on the streets so arrive early if you want to secure a spot. Alternatetly you can use the small public parking area. There's a valet parking at a restaurant on the main street that offers beach parking at a flat rate of 15.00. The narrow stairs leading up to and from the beach are a strenuous trek. Be mindful if you're bringing umbrellas, or heavy coolers. The stairs are part wood and part concrete with safety railings. The views and clean water are definitely a hit and worth the effort . The water, foliage and rock formations are great for photographers and photo ops. No shade so bring a wide brimmed protective hat, beach umbrella or tent and definitely a physical sunblock! There are lifeguards there, and the waves are pretty strong if you plan to swim...
Read moreAs posted below by Vikap Veer. This guy's review nailed it. We found parking exactly where he said we would, of course it helped that this was on a Wednesday, found the steps to the beach and we're completely and utterly amazed! I would consider this a world-class beach and it's hidden right here in crazy-crowded So Cal! :-) Thanks Vicap! Oh, and there was as mentioned in other reviews here, a considerable summertime teen population. But, they were respectful and kind of had their own little corner, as teens do LOL. it seems like the North end of this beach was more of a "general population" part. The surf can be very intense, and we saw waves well over 9 feed, but since the beach is so steep the waves break late and hard, and are short-lived, but definitely fun for a quick body surf or boogie board back onto the beach! Clear water. Good lifeguards. This is now officially my...
