I do not recommend Perret Park for children or families. The park is in extremely poor condition and feels very unsafe. It’s surrounded by a questionable neighborhood, and it has unfortunately become a gathering place for adults engaging in drug use and other concerning behavior.
The park itself is filthy—bird and duck droppings cover the walking paths and grassy areas, making it not only unpleasant but also unsanitary for kids to play. It’s in desperate need of maintenance and oversight.

Read moreI’ve enjoyed the view so many times at this location. It’s a nice spot to fish and relax as well. Each time I’ve visited this location I’ve noticed a city officer on the property. There are normally 3 characters on site, one in a white beat up van and a couple who show up on bikes. They were never aggressive or “suspicious” but never put your guard down. I’ve been told by neighbors that the city has cracked down in this particular location so when you call 911, it’s a “detain” situation rather than “questioning” situation.
