Elawa Farm Foundation — Attraction in Lake Forest

We had our wedding reception at Elawa Farm in August, and it was absolutely magical. The venue is a perfect blend of elegance and charm, offering a stunning setting with multiple beautiful spaces to enjoy throughout the evening. From the paddock to the tent, then dancing in the barn, and finally winding down under the stars and string lights, every moment felt special and seamless.

The team at Elawa Farm was phenomenal to work with. Karen was incredibly responsive and helpful, ensuring everything went smoothly with our vendors. What makes this venue even more special is that it's a place we can return to for years to come. With its scenic walking trails, seasonal markets, and community events, Elawa isn’t just where we had our wedding—it’s a place where we can continue to celebrate life’s moments.

I have mixed feelings on this review of elawa, as they have a nice market to purchase produce, but they consistently disappoint on their Satursday outdoor grill and brunch by not having any items available. They advertise heavily on their social media to come and enjoy brunch between 8:30-2 but by 10am have no more breakfast sandwiches and by 12:30 have no more lunch items, namely burgers. Today we planned on having a nice lunch at elawa with friends from the city only to be told we are sold out we didn't have enough items stocked. Mind you this is at 12:30pm! This happened to us last week also and we thought it was one off but it is clearly a mismanaged operation if it is two weekends in a row. Elawa, please do better and be more organized on this... its a shame you are ruining what could be a great gem in the community. Order enough supplies it really shouldn't be that...

We are a flower shop called The Jade Vine and clients of our had their wedding at Elawa Farm recently. The farm staff was incredibly responsive, proactive, and made the wedding seamless. We worked very closely with Karen, the venue coordinator, and Vivian, the onsite attendant who helped make the day perfectly successful. It was very convenient to have each aspect of the day all in one place; people flowed easily from ceremony, to cocktail hour, to dinner under a large tent, to dancing in the haybarn. Would highly recommend this venue for weddings or events...
