Lake June Park in Lake Placid, FL is a fun little park that offers numerous activities to be enjoyed with a beautiful view of Lake June-in-Winter #lakeplacidfl #highlandscounty #avonpark #sebring #yessebring @visitsebring

This is one of the (many) hidden gems in Lake Placid, a peaceful shaded park right alongside Lake June with covered picnic areas, bathrooms, and a lot of space to walk around. There is even a small pier. It's a great place to step out of the city for a few hours and relax. Note: This is not to be confused with the sports complex area, as that requires a much different road and is quite separate.

Nice view of Lake June, Small beach area with barrier rope in place for small swimming area. Sheltered picnic tables for use. One larger pavilion with picnic tables for larger gatherings. Bring broom and cleaning supplies for tables. Garbage cans available.

Pretty park but the town fathers spent a bunch of taxpayer money to build new restrooms that they keep locked, forcing visitors to defecate and urinate in a small wooded area right next to the swimming area. likely fouling the water with all sorts of enteric bacteria, including Shigella, Enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli, Salmonella, and others that may cause necrotizing fasciitis (flesh eating bacteria.) I'm not sure that causing disease and possible death is a good use of taxpayer funds, but the town...

Absolutely beautiful lake. There are benches to picnic, and a playground for kids to play. I was in the area showing some customers some properties they were invested in buying. After our showings I wanted to treat my clients to lunch, but they didn't want to risk eating at a restaurant due to COVID, and them being considered high risk. We decided to do a picnic. It was beautiful weather outside, and the beautiful view of the lake only cemented their decision to buy their forever home...

Wow, what to say. Uhm, there was a tiny beach, a few picnic tables with little gazebos, a boat launch, and a larger gazebo with many picnic tables.

If there was more, I didn't notice because I was feeling quite intimidated by a large dog off leash, and a man under the gazebo with four or five mid-sized dogs, also off leash.

I think it serves its purpose to the locals who want to swim and boat, and there are plenty of other options...
