Hernandos Landing Rotary Playground at Lake Parker Park — Attraction in Lakeland

We love this playground! Rotary did a beautiful job, restructuring this and making it fairly accessible for multiple ages and developmental levels. Lots of challenging climbing structures interspersed with traditional equipment, all themed naturally. They have a section for the kids and for a little kids plus lots of little things in between.

My daughters favorite is the zip line, which has a traditional seat zip platform for older kids, and a chair with harness for younger kids or kids with low tone.

At least seven covered picnic structures with multiple picnic tables and benches, all which have a charcoal grill and water spicket. First come first serve basis for birthday parties.

One word of caution – if you have children that are elopers, this playground is by a lake with alligators. No fences!

Was having a good time with my grandson until someone decided to play there music to loud. I don't mine the music is was just to loud you could hear it at the other side of the park I know cause that's where I was. And the grands people didn't even bother to ask them to turn it down. That's all they had to do. Play your music just not so loud that it disturbs the other people who goes there for quite time. And to play with they family. All I heard there was music no birds no kids laughing just music. Have a volume rule. That's all I'm asking. Have respecte for the other peopl that might bout want to hear your music. Wow this park is awesome! I've lived in Lakeland my entire life, this park has had many makeovers, but this one is by far the best! The swings for parent and baby, the safe chair zipline, the giant pirate ship to climb in, and the giant drumbs and bells! It's an all round great experience! The only bad thing, and it's kinda big, the lake, I really wish there was a fence, atleast at the kids playground. I am like most mom's 100%vigilant in watching kids. Not all parents are, and for these kids, it scares me to death! It's a beautiful park for parties and great family fun.
